One of the duties parents owes their children is to guide them aright by educating them. They are obligated to correct their children’s errors and most importantly guide them to live a life that is pleasing to Allaah (Azawajal) by teaching them the means of achieving that.

Join not in worship others with Allaah. Verily! Joining others in worship with Allaah is a great Zulm (injustice) indeed.” (Luqmaan [311: 13)
